How to Obtain a Real Estate License in Nevada
Real estate is a lucrative career, and many people in Nevada are interested in obtaining a real estate license. The process of obtaining a real estate license in Nevada can be daunting, but with the right resources and information, it is possible to become a licensed real estate agent in the state.
Education Requirements
The first step in obtaining a real estate license in Nevada is to complete the required education courses. All applicants must complete a 90-hour pre-licensing course that is approved by the Nevada Real Estate Commission. The course must be completed within one year of submitting the license application.

Exam Preparation
Once the educational requirements have been met, applicants must then prepare to take the state licensing exam. The exam is administered by PSI, a third-party testing provider.
Applicants must register with PSI in order to take the exam. The exam consists of a national portion and a state portion. The national portion covers topics such as real estate law, contracts, and ethics. The state portion covers Nevada-specific laws and regulations.
Fingerprinting and Background Check
Before an applicant can take the licensing exam, they must submit to a fingerprinting and background check. The Nevada Real Estate Commission requires applicants to submit a set of fingerprints in order to verify the applicant’s identity.
